Leonard E. Friday
From: The Selma Times Journal, Thursday, February 9, 1956 Leonard E. Friday, 49, who had operated a highway cafe on Rt. 2, Maplesville for some time past, died at 3:20 a.m. Thursday in a Selma Hospital following a weeks illness. A native of Chilton County, the deceased had lived formerly in Quincy, Florida where children survive and where his wife is buried.
The body was sent by motor hearse from Breslin Service to Quincy, leaving Thursday morning. Interment will take place in Hill Crest Cemetery, Quincy, following services to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday from the church of the Assembly of God.
Survivors include two daughters, three sons, and two sisters who are: Misses Nellie Ruth and Eloise Friday, C. W. and David Friday, all of Quincy, and Clinton Friday, USA, now in Formosa. The sisters are Mrs. Lida Abrams, Maplesville and Mrs. Ada Mims, Clanton.
