I first became interested in my family's genealogy about 2 years ago after my mother became ill. In the beginning, I knew only the most basic facts about her parents... their names, where they lived, and a rough idea of when they had died. Since I began digging into their past, I've learned more than I ever thought possible. But every new find seems to lead to more questions.
When I get frustrated and need a break from libraries, cemetaries and census records, I like to poke around at antique shops and flea markets. My passion is old glassware. Elegant, red and blue cut, and carnival are my favorites. I can never decide on an absolute favorite, so I have a little of them all.
As you can see from the backgrounds I've used on many of these pages, I also LOVE flowers! Roses are my favorite, but any pretty bloom will do. The really wonderful thing about these flowers is that I don't have to do a thing but enjoy them:)
I hope that you'll find something useful in these pages. I'm working on several transcription projects that I plan to post here, so check back from time to time to see what's new. If you find a common ancestor here, please do drop me an e-mail or sign the Guest Book located on the Home Page. I'd love to hear from you.
