Abney of U.S.A. Korea; two daughters, Mrs. James M. Anderton and Miss Martha Anne Abney, both of Birmingham; five brothers, Gordon, James W., J. C., John, and Horace J. Abney, all of Birmingham; two sisters, Mrs. Ludie Mae Clowdus and Mrs. Edith Giamportone, both of Birmingham; and one grandchild, Carolyn Jean Anderton.

Bessie V. Abney

She had lived most of her life in Watson and was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Bell Crumly Chapel, with burial in Friendship Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Estelle Alford, and a son Paul Abney, both of Watson.
